Lee Walker Heights

In a joint venture between the Asheville Housing Authority and Mountain Housing Opportunities, the 1950s public housing project, Lee Walker Heights, was reimagined to create a vibrant, inclusive mixed-use neighborhood. Sitework Studios, along with McMillian Pazden Smith Architects and David Baker Architects, created a collaborative design team for the master planning phase.  Several community meetings, well-attended by stakeholders, were held on-site to collaborate in this effort. The resulting space is a community-focused urban neighborhood centered on green spaces and amenities.  Sitework Studios was involved from the initial concepts through construction documents for the site and landscape.
